FIRST ROUND
Hawthorne School 0 Highclare 8
Well played, everyone!
Round two gives us a tie at home against Kirkwell School.
A number of Highclare footballers were selected to represent Sutton Coldfield District at Under 11 level this term after trials at Braemar Road last summer. Kurtis, Daniel and Nathan were in the team that made the Semi-Finals of the West Midlands County Tournament at Wolverhampton in November and won 9-1 against East Birmingham. The team was also only narrowly defeated by Kings Norton 2-1, the District League leaders.
On the girls’ front, Gabrielle and Mayuri were in the U11 District team that won the Birmingham District Shield in October.
Going into the festive period of matches, the team sits on top of the Birmingham and District League.

We played 4 games in our pool, winning 2 and losing 2. We missed out on a semi final place on goal difference and went on to win our final match. This is an excellent result in our first ever entry in this competition. We look forward to climbing the league table in future years.
Well done, to all our players who thoroughly enjoyed the day at Cannock and
were a real credit to Highclare School.
