Key Stage 2

The National Curriculum guidelines are followed in Key stage 2, with particular emphasis on core subjects:

• English (at least 5hrs per week).
• Maths (5 hrs per week).
• Science (3 hrs per week).

• Preparation for 11+ examinations commences in Year 3 with after school tuition for J5.
• Computers are used regularly by all pupils and extensive software is available.
• Pupils have their own Junior Library.
• Mid year tests are carried out in core subjects and end of year examinations take place in the summer term.
• Regular monthly achievement awards are given.
• Junior Prize Giving takes place at the end of Summer Term and celebrates achievements of all pupils throughout the year.
