Senior

The Senior School is open to girls and boys from 11 to 16 years.

(W are pleased to announce we are now enrolling Boys to Year 7 in the Senior School and the school will be fully co-educational by 2015)

The school provides a safe, secure and friendly environment with excellent staff to pupil ratios. Our high standards, good manners and respectful conduct create a harmonious atmosphere in which teachers can devote all their time and energies towards pupils, getting to know each pupil as a unique individual, enabling us to provide greater attention to their needs and education.

Teaching staff are highly motivated, well-qualified, caring professionals who have a wealth of experience and build good relationships with pupils who consequently respond positively to assistance and advice with their subjects. Creativity is encouraged and we provide the flexibility within the curriculum to build on individual strengths so increasing a pupil's potential. Maths quiz

We aim to stretch pupils own development through extra-curricular activities, providing many opportunities for this within school life and fostering team-building and leadership skills. Pupils are rewarded for pursuing interests outside of school life and trying new experiences through an innovative house point system.

On arrival, each pupil is assigned to a member of staff who, as their personal tutor, will have regular meetings and support that student throughout his or her education in the Senior School.
Our academic results speak for themselves with overall pass rates of 100% at GCSE, giving us a top 6 ranking for results in Birmingham.

Above all, pupils of Highclare Senior School graduate as articulate and confident young people, assured of their personal strengths, and possessing the ability to present themselves well, when securing places in higher education, or employment.

Highclare School is a member of the prestigious Independent Schools Assosiation.

Chanel-Lee Easy

It is with the deepest regret that we convey to you the sad news of the death of Chanel-Lee Easy.  Chanel was a valued member of the Highclare family who we had the pleasure to teach until she left us this year to join the sixth form at The Arthur Terry School. Chanel will be remembered by all who knew and loved her for her wonderful smile and infectious laughter.  She brought the blessings of kindness and happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her and she will be sorely missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
