At Highclare School the academic curriculum is designed to prepare students for life as independent learners and to achieve individual excellence.
All pupils follow a broad, balanced curriculum, which is delivered by well-qualified specialist teachers. Subjects studied during Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 & 9) are:

At Key Stage 4, Years 10 & 11, all pupils study the core curriculum at GCSE of English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science & Additional Science, a Modern Foreign Language, ICT and PSHCE. 3 option subjects are chosen from:

  • Music
  • Home Economics
  • Physical Education
  • Religious Education
  • Art
  • Textiles Technology

At Highclare School the academic curriculum is designed to prepare students for life as independent learners and to achieve individual excellence.

In order to qualify for the English Baccalaureate all pupils will be required to include History or Geography in their 3 option choices.
