Congratulations to Grace in Year 7 and Laura in Year 8 who both represented North Birmingham at the West Midlands Schools’ Cross Country Championships at Oldbury on Saturday 21st January.
Grace finished 4th in the Year 7 girls’ 2000m race and Laura finished 5th in the Years 8/9 girls’ 3000m race. Following this event, teams for the English Schools will be selected. Fingers crossed that both our girls will be selected.
Congratulations to Kristie, Katie and Harrison in representing the Midlands at the ISA National Swimming Gala.
All three swimmers won medals in their individual events. Kristie gained a total of 4 gold medals in the individual medley butterfly, medley relay and freestyle relay.
Katie also won 3 golds and a bronze in breast stroke, back stroke, medley and freestyle relays. Harrison (Year 4) won a bronze in his freestyle event.
We are extremely proud of our 3 swimmers and the whole Highclare team who all contributed to our 6th consecutive win at the regional gala.
Another outstanding performance at the Regional Gala. Highclare girls were declared overall winners for the 6th year running!

Highclare sporting history was made recently, as the first Senior boys' football fixture took place at Braemar Road playing fields in glorious sunshine. The team played in a spirited manner and learned much in their first competitive outing for the School. We look forward to more matches soon.
