Highclare Preparatory School joined thousands of children across the UK to gather and share a story together on World Book Day 2019. It was wonderful to see so many book characters brought to life by both pupils and teachers! Keep an eye out for photo’s appearing on the Prep twitter feed here.
Throughout the day pupils welcomed French storyteller Nathalie into their classrooms. Along with a huge array of props and a contagious enthusiasm Nathalie shared some great French stories with pupils. It was lovely to see the French language brought to life by a native speaker with a clear love of reading.
Thank you to both the Preparatory School Modern Foreign Language department and Nathalie, who captivated the childrens imagination and staged an event that celebrated World Book Day and further cultivated an appreciation of reading and language in all pupils.
