First News newspaper for children – wider reading

Posted: 2nd April 2020

If you have a child or children who are upper primary/lower secondary and are looking for ideas to fill the time over the Easter holiday, you might like to have a look at the online issue of First News, the paper we usually display in the library.  It has lots of news from around the world, sport, entertainment, a puzzles page and lots more in a colourful,  fun format.

Access it through the VLE, School Life, library page within the Learning Centre:  https://vle.highclareschool.co.uk/publications/online-classroom

Each new weekly issue will appear on the Online Classroom tab through the Easter holiday and afterwards too – U3rd and L4th parents and pupils have been sent the link already.

I hope you and your loved ones keep safe and well and wish you a peaceful Easter.

Mrs C. Daniels, School Librarian
