Highclare Suzuki Group Playtogether is a Huge Sucess

Posted: 21st January 2022

Highclare Suzuki Group was very excited to be invited by Heather Clemson to take part in the annual New Year Midlands Playtogether at Emmanuel Church in Wylde Green.

It was the first opportunity for our group to perform outside of school and as always all children behaved impeccably both whilst performing as an extended group and when sat down listening to more advanced pieces. They were a credit to themselves, their families and our wonderful school.

During the event Highclare Suzuki Group was invited to perform an item, for which they chose Stamping Song. The children played so well that we were asked to give an encore, during which they invited parents to participate by stamping their feet in the correct place, this was enjoyed immensely by all.

It was a privilege to be involved in such a special community event after such a long time and all involved felt very grateful to be able to make music together face-to-face.

In addition to our fantastic students’ behaviour and efforts, Mrs Minchin would like to say a huge thank you to all parents who attended and made every effort to support the event by purchasing raffle tickets and provide donations. Many expressed their thanks and genuine enjoyment of the whole experience.

We look forward to many more of these events and will of course share updates each time with the Highclare community.
