Swans School Comms, Tuesday 19 January 2021

Posted: 19th January 2021

Good Morning,

We hope you all had a marvellous Monday. Here are our suggested activities for today.

Please find attached a Maths game. You (or your child) will need to cut out the spots for the cow. Use a die and take turns to throw. Whatever number it lands on you put that many spots onto the cow. You could compare between throws. For example, “How many more (or less) is that?”

Have a look on You tube for the Jack Hartman song ‘All Around the Farm”. This focuses on animal names but also on directional language such as in front of, behind, up, down, left and right. If you have farm animals at home your child could put them in different places. Can they describe to you where the animals are (for example, under the table, in the box, next to the chair).

Also attached is an example of a home made farm. Your child could create a farm for their animals using different materials. We would love to see photographs of their creations.

We hope you have a terrific Tuesday.

Kind regards

Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Harris

Teaching staff are highly motivated professionals with a wealth of experience that they are keen to share! There will also be an address by the Head, so ensure you arrive in plenty of time in order that you do not miss out.
