A fresh take for the Weekly Bulletin

Posted: 6th September 2018

As a school we understand how important good channels of communication are between parents and school.  There is much evidence to support that effective communication within the school community improves pupil achievement, motivation, behaviour and attendance.

With this in mind we are excited to announce the launch of the newly designed Weekly Bulletin.

Working alongside our website, social media channels and Highclare Virtual we hope that the School Weekly Bulletin will enhance our communication processes to a level of excellence.

Designed to open within your email, we hope that Highclare parents will now instantly receive weekly updates and important information with regards to school life, saving precious time.

Please ensure the school office has an up to date email address and please keep an eye out for correspondence regarding how to log into the parent portal, all  to ensure you receive the new Weekly Bulletin as smoothly as possible.

GCSE Results

This year Highclare students have once again produced outstanding GCSE results.  Nearly one third of all grades were at the highest level of 7 and above and our overall pass rate was 92%, all of which are significantly above the national figures of 22% and 68% respectively.

Half of all grades were 6 and above and 98% of our full-time students achieved 5 of more GCSE passes. Having scored particularly excellent grades in Science and Maths, we are welcoming 4 students onto our Pre-Med scholarship program, designed to support students with medicine-related university applications.

Nearly 10% of our cohort have achieved 8 or more GCSEs at the top grades of 7 or above (or 35% achieved 7 or more GCSEs at the top grades of 6 or above).
