Fencing

We have just been introduced to the art of Fencing.  Six Year 4 pupils were invited to have a go, wearing suitable head protection and plastic 'foils' with hand shields. This extra curricular club will commence after Easter on a Friday, after school. A letter will be sent home with full details.

Year 5 Science

Year 5 at the Abbey discovered that sounds are made when objects or materials vibrate during their Science lessons in the Junior Laboratory. They did a battery of investigations with tuning forks, tuning forks in water, string telephones, guitars and milk bottles. J6 Story Makers

J6 pupils have been very busy producing their own picture books for five year old children. They have designed the covers and even made their own story boxes. On Tuesday the pupils were given the opportunity to read their stories to Woodfield’s Reception pupils. A perfect audience for fabulous stories. Well done, J6!

Economic Well Being Day
