Woodfield Maths Challenge

The whole school worked extremely hard and raised an amazing £2000 for CLIC Sargent. A special trophy, Leopold the Lion, was awarded to Emilia Gomm J2S for managing to find 60 sponsors and raise £110. All the children made a tremendous effort to help less fortunate children and we are very proud of them.

A Profusion of Pancakes

Shrove Tuesday was celebrated at Woodfield by all the pupils and produced a profusion of pancakes!  Transition pupils tossed their pancakes and even raced outside with them. Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten Stepping up Graduation New Rainbow Bears and Honey Bears visited the Nursery to receive their Graduation certificates, to mark the occasion of their stepping up to Kindergarten this term. Carnival Day

CARNIVAL DAY ! What a wonderful time. Carnival Day at Woodfield was wonderful! The pupils enjoyed sessions from   'Circusology'  who gave them lessons in juggling, balancing skills and balancing plates on sticks. Chinese New Year

Year of the Rabbit "Kung Hei Fat Choy" Children from Kindergarten and Transition took part in a variety of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. Everyone enjoyed sampling noodles, using chopsticks and creating their own dragon dance!

Nursery Music Morning

Children and staff at Highclare Woodfield have spent a busy year fundraising for ACORNS Childrens Hospice. From mixing Christmas puddings with ingredients kindly donated by Tesco, to jam making, the whole school has been involved. Chinese New Year

Last week Transition celebrated the Year of the Dragon!  We took part in many activitiesincluding collaging a Dragon, usingchopsticks and making lucky money envelopes. During P.E we re-enacted the story of the “The Great Rat Race”. We even had our own Chinese Restaurant in the Classroom!
